Gone are the days of putting together a presentation with two or three Scriptures . . .
A pamphlet surely would ease my way after getting mugged. I don't have a smart phone to lose, so I cannot relate.

dear fellow posters and friends:.
a friend had been making excellent recovery after hospitalization and rehab.
then, some 6 weeks later, while an infection set in, he had to return to hospital.
Thanks, dear friends, for excellent but disturbing information on what can (and often does) go wrong.
Your good thoughts and wishes mean so much. As ad hoc caregiver, I had to call in the troupes (various medical personnel) for immediate emergency assistance.
Will keep you posted. He's about to be moved from our local hospital to the hospital where the original surgery was performed.
Love,

Thank you, Muddy Waters, for your reply. What you wrote sounds familiar.
Best.

Dear Fellow Posters and Friends:
A friend had been making excellent recovery after hospitalization and rehab. Then, some 6 weeks later, while an infection set in, he had to return to hospital. He is in excruciating pain and now on morphine.
I don't wish to give a lot of detail here, but was wondering if you or yours have ever had what appeared to be a good recovery, only to be followed by an unexpected reversal of progress and consequent decline.
THANKS!

i was a member of this community a long time ago and have lurked for years.
well, i am back and still thoroughly conflicted, with my heart/loyalties as divided as ever.
please welcome me back, hear me out, and make me feel as welcomed as before.. the wtbts has changed so very much in recent years that i feel trapped in a completely different religion altogether.
Just to add, for those who may have been the spiritual guide to certain JWs: there's a sense of abandonment on both sides. Very difficult to cope with. Guilt, frustration, anger . . .

Welcome back, Doubtfully Yours:
You, certainly, are in good company. Many of us remain conflicted because we want to stay close to beloved JW kith and kin. Fortunately, a few of my friends and family have quit the org. We can talk freely amongst ourselves, but put an ardent JW into the mix and a genial conversation goes amok.
Please stay on board. You'll get replies . . .
Best.

i find these shocking.
Years ago the Society implied that the Lindy, with its measured steps, was an acceptable dance for couples.
Well, as I recall, my inference was that its restraint made it all right for Christians. The clip of this dance is restraint personified. You be the judge.
